Los Flores (Calif.) Tesoro offensive lineman Josh Cabral (6-3, 300) may be the most pure offensive lineman in Orange County this year and he was a big part of Tesoro’s vaunted offense this past season.
Cabral has been offered by UC Davis, Cornell, Nevada and Navy. Cornell has also had Cabral in for a visit.
“I’m visiting UC Davis and I took a trip to Cornell,” said Cabral. “It was a little cold.”
Cabral said that four schools are standing out for him.
“My top schools are UC Davis and Cornell and Stanford and Navy,” said Cabral. “Nevada offered me, but I turned them down. I got an appointment to the Naval Academy. And Stanford said they’re going to tell me this week, if they are going to offer.”
Cabral said his future on the offensive line will put him inside.
“I’ll play most likely the interior, either center or guard,” said Cabral. “I’ve never played center, but I’d be willing to try it.”
Academically, Cabral has a 3.7 and scored an 1810 on the SAT.
