Fresno (Calif.) San Joaquin Memorial defensive end Sullivan Grosz was supposed to take a visit to UCLA this weekend.
Instead, he visited Cal Poly, and by the time the trip was done, he was a Mustang.
"It ended up UCLA asked me to come after Signing Day so I ended up visiting Cal Poly instead. And it went great so I committed," said Grosz.
Grosz was one of the more underrated players in Central California and as a good student, had opportunities to walk-on at some other schools.
But the offer from Cal Poly, which came earlier this week, landed the Mustangs the versatile Grosz.
"They want me to play defensive end this next year as a true freshman and Poly has a great business school," said Grosz.
