Michigan State had a junior day last weekend and the Spartans have been busy since, handing out several new offers.
The Green and White were the first school to offer Warren Mott DE/TE C.J. Olaniyan. The 6'5, 230-lb Olaniyan was an All-State selection this year after recording 14 sacks off the edge. He is a prospect we are very high on.
Going out of state, MSU also offered Indianapolis Pike wide receiver Dyjuan Lewis, Proviso West (Ill.) wide receiver Kyle Prater and Proviso East (Ill.) safety/wideout Corey Cooper.
Lewis is now up to nine offers, after also securing recent ones from Kentucky and Colorado according to Pike head coach Derek Moyers.
Cooper, an Illinois committment, has considered looking around at other schools and also picked up recent offers from Stanford and Minnesota.
Prater, one of the stars of the U.S. Army Junior Combine, continues to rack up offers. The MSU offer was followed by ones from Stanford and Penn State, bringing his total to 11.
Inkster (Mich.) quarterback Devin Gardner is one of the top junior quarterbacks in the country and his offer list is enough to prove that. Last week, he added to it as Baylor became the latest to extend one.
His instate counterparts Austin Gray and William Gholston have also picked up recent offers.
Gray, a linebacker from Warren Fitzgerald, was offered by Illinois according to Fitzgerald head coach Jason Byers. Byers also reports that his star backer will be at Michigan State's junior day on February 22nd, followed by Illinois on March 6th and Iowa on the 7th.
Gholston has a bevy of new offers, including Iowa, Purdue, Florida, Miami (FL), Illinois and Central Michigan. The 6'7, 245-lb defensive end adds those to the existing offers from Michigan, Michigan State and Wisconsin.
Stay tuned to Scout.com for much more on each of these players shortly after Signing Day.
