It's the day we've been waiting for. National Signing Day is here. We recap the frantic action with the biggest news from Wednesday. All times are ET.

10:30 p.m.

Morgan Presley wasn't the only former Trojan commit that inked with UCLA today, Randall Carroll made the switch on Signing Day as well, vaulting the Bruins past the Trojans in the rankings and into the top 5 on Wednesday night. --Scott Kennedy

5:13 p.m.

Alabama adds another to it's huge day: RB Trent Richardson sticks with the Tide over Florida and LSU. --Allen Wallace

Richardson is rated as the No. 2 running back in the country by Scout.com. He has rushed for more than 400 yards in a single game twice in the last two years.

Richardson finished his senior season with 2,090 yards on 225 carries scoring 26 touchdowns. He is the 5A Florida Player of the Year and a finalist for the 2008 Mr. Football. He was also awarded Offensive Player of the Year in Pensacola and named a Parade All-American. --Andrew Bone

4:06 p.m.

Kenny Bell, a four-star wide receiver at 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds from Rayville, La., de-committed from LSU and signed with the University of Alabama. --Andrew Bone

3:47 p.m.

Tennessee WR Marlon Brown just signed with Georgia over Ohio State and Tennessee. Brown is Scout.com's No. 2 wide receiver in the country. --Allen Wallace

3:09 p.m.

As expected, five-star Dre Kirkpatrick selected Alabama over Texas and will join his high school teammate Kendall Kelly as a member of the Crimson Tide. Kirkpatrick also visited Florida as well. --Bob Lichtenfels

Kirkpatrick went through bags and boxes to pull out a black Alabama hat to signify his commitment to the Tide in front of his school. --Miller Safrit

Kirkpatrick is one of the best defensive backs in the nation, and the No. 1 player in the state of Alabama. He's a do-it-all athlete with a winning attitude. --Andrew Bone

3:05 p.m.

Michigan was looking for playmakers for their offense and Rich Rodriguez just found one in Philadelphia, Pa., as four-star wide receiver Je'Ron Stokes has just signed his letter of intent to play for the Wolverines. Stokes chose Michigan over Tennessee and Illinois among others.--Bob Lichtenfels

3:01 p.m.

RB David Oku will not sign today. Formerly committed to Tennessee, Oku is now open and it will come down to Tennessee, Auburn, and Syracuse. --Baron Flenory Jr.

2:57 p.m.

Kendall Kelly announced his decision to "roll with the tide" and donned an Alabama hat. --Miller Safrit

Kelly, a four-star wide receiver from Gadsden (Ala.) City, chose Alabama over Clemson, Auburn, Florida, LSU and Tennessee. -- Andrew Bone

2:52 p.m.

Rutgers just lost Justin Brown, but they rebounded quickly luring another one of the Garden State's finest in three-star tight end Malcolm Bush (Hackensack). The Scarlet Knights won a hotly contested battle over North Carolina and Pittsburgh. --Bob Lichtenfels

2:47 p.m.

Penn State had a glaring need for a big-time wide receiver and minutes ago they found their man in Concord (Del.) four-star prospect Justin Brown, who selected the Nittany Lions over Rutgers. --Bob Lichtenfels

2:44 p.m.

Terrell Williams of Union High in Tulsa, Okla. has signed with Arkansas. Rumor had it that he might switch his commitment to Mizzou. His signature debunks those claims. --Baron Flenory Jr.

2:39 p.m.

UCLA landed its second elite offensive lineman today, getting a commitment from Xavier Su'a-Filo from Provo (Utah) Timpview, a top-three offensive guard. --Brandon Huffman

1:50 p.m.

Georgia LB Jarvis Jones (Columbus Carver) signed with USC over Florida, Georgia, LSU and Texas. Jones is Scout.com's No. 3 strongside linebacker. He officially visited all his favorites, taking in LSU and the city of Baton Rouge last weekend. --Allen Wallace

1:39 p.m.

Alabama is making a late run for the No. 1 spot overall, getting signatures from three four-star players in LB Tana Patrick, OL Brandon Moore and RB Eddie Lacy. Back-to-back No. 1 classes is not out of reach for the Tide. --Scott Kennedy

1:38 p.m.

Four-star RB David Oku from Midwest City Carl Albert (Okla.) won't sign today and will sign in late February, considering Tennessee, Auburn and Syracuse. He is Scout.com's No. 9 running back nationwide. --Allen Wallace

1:29 p.m.

The University of Alabama expected a big day as the stars started announcing their college choices this morning. Tana Patrick, four-star strongside linebacker from Stevenson-North Jackson, Ala., picked Alabama over Auburn, Tennessee and USC.

Brandon Moore, four-star offensive tackle from Montgomery-Carver, Ala., and Eddie Lacy, four-star running back from Geismar-Dutchtown, La., announced for the Tide as well.

The Alabama coaching staff is waiting for news of Dre Kirkpatrick, Kendall Kelly, Janzen Jackson and Kenny Bell. Trent Richardson will make a final decision this afternoon, but all signs point to 'Bama. --Andrew Bone

1:24 p.m.

Four-star safety Juwanza Starling from Tallahassee, Fla. will join former teammate T.J. Bryant at USC. --Scott Kennedy

1:19 p.m.

Four-star RB Damien Thigpen (Manassas Stonewall Jackson, Va.) signed with UCLA (1/30 visit) over Notre Dame, Boston College and West Virginia. Thigpen is Scout.com's No. 33 running back and could also be used as a wide receiver or corner. --Allen Wallace

1:11 p.m.

Morgan Moses just announced he is staying at home and playing for the Virginia Cavaliers over the North Carolina Tar Heels. The Army All-American is the biggest name on the commitment list this year for the Al Groh and his staff. --Miller Safrit

1:03 p.m.

Safety Jawanza Starling (Tallahasee Lincoln, Fla.) signed with USC over Notre Dame. Scout.com's No. 5 safety also visited Florida and Stanford. --Allen Wallace

12:57 p.m.

RB Wesley Tate, the younger brother of Notre Dame's Golden Tate, from Hendersonville John Paul II (Tenn.) signed with Vanderbilt over Georgia Tech and Purdue. --Allen Wallace

Sheldon Richardson
DE/TE Sheldon Richardson signed with Missouri over Miami. Richardson officially visited Miami last weekend but was a longtime soft commit to the Tigers and is their No. 1 signee in this class. Richardson is ranked as SuperPrep mag's No. 11 prospect in the nation, regardless of position. --Allen Wallace

12:36 p.m.

RB Eddie Lacy (Geismar Dutchdown, La.) signed with Alabama over Tennessee. --Allen Wallace

12:19 p.m.

The nation's No. 1 strongside linebacker, Manti Te'o from Honolulu (Hawaii) Punahou, just announced he will be signing with Notre Dame, choosing the Irish over USC and UCLA. --Brandon Huffman

Manti Te'o just officially visited USC last weekend. The much-anticipated decision had the Bruins, Trojans and Irish waffling back and forth as the leader over the last several months. Teo's got fantastic instincts and is regarded as the best football prospect to come out of the islands in years. Te'o is a Mormon and UCLA was thought to have a good chance because of the player's strong relationship with UCLA offensive coordinator Norm Chow. Charlie Weis has made Te'o one of his major targets. In Te'o's announcement, he thanked numerous friends and his parents for his success. Claiming to have made his decision at 5 a.m. this morning, Te'o chose Notre Dame, saying it was the best fit and praising Weis. --Allen Wallace

12:06 p.m.

Kapolei (Hawaii) offensive tackle Stan Hasiak has come full circle. Hasian committed to UCLA in October but switched it to Cal in January. Moments ago, at a ceremony in Hawaii, Hasiak recommitted to UCLA and will sign with the Bruins. --Brandon Huffman

11:47 a.m.

Long considered an Alabama lean, Hargrave Military Academy's top prospect Bobby Massie has signed with Ole Miss. The mammoth offensive tackle is the top post-grad player in the nation this year. He has the ability to step in and compete for playing time right away. --Scott Kennedy

11:36 a.m.

Corona (Calif.) Centennial linebacker Vontaze Burfict, the No. 1-ranked MLB in the country, has switched his longtime USC commitment to Arizona State, just signing his Letter of Intent. Fellow Centennial linebacker Ben Letcher is signing with Fresno State, deciding this morning. --Brandon Huffman

11:22 a.m.

Ole Miss continues its huge winter run by inking five-star wide receiver Pat Patterson. Patterson is a college-ready type of wideout who is solidly built and does everything on the field well. --Scott Kennedy

11:16 a.m.

Florida is on a roll as they just landed the signature of Olney (Md.) Good Counsel five-star linebacker Jelani Jenkins. Jenkins chose the Gators over Penn Statev and Stanford. The Gators also picked up talented three-star safety Joshua Evans from Irvington (N.J.). Evans chose the Gators over Oklahoma and Pittsburgh. --Bob Lichtenfels

11:13 a.m.

Some drama in Texas. QB Broderick Thomas is a Houston commit, but apparently Nebraska thinks he is going to walk on. A coach at Madison HS said he is going to sign with UH. --Alan Zepeda

11:11 a.m.

LB Jelani Jenkins (Olney Good Counsel, Md.) signed with Florida. This much-anticipated decision doesn't come as a surprise as most thought the battle was between Florida and Penn State. Jenkins gave an impassioned announcement, thanking friends, family and his church. Final five: ND, USC, Florida, Penn State and Stanford. Acadmemics, grad rates, defensive scheme all figured in Jenkins choice. He also cited weather and his overall comfort level with the Florida staff in making this tough decision. --Allen Wallace

11:00 a.m.

Barrington (Ill.) offensive guard Trevor Laue graduated from high school in January and his father has just informed us that his son has enrolled and excepted an offer from Arizona to be a preferred walk-on with the Wildcats.

Tennessee just landed a gem in Atlanta (Ga.) Carver four-star safety Darren Myles. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound prospect is ranked as the No. 8-rated player in the country at his position according to Scout.com. --Bob Lichtenfels

Tennessee continues a big run today the Myles commitment. Myles is the son of former Purdue defensive back and current Carver-Atlanta head coach Darren Myles. --Scott Kennedy 10:59 a.m.

It looks as though athlete Nu’Keese Richardson from Pahokee High School in Florida is going to be a big Signing Day coup for the Tennessee Vols. Richardson had been committed to Florida for months. Richardson is a top-10-ranked wide receiver and a four-star athlete. Tennessee could also poach Marsalis Teague off of Florida’s commitment list today. --Scott Kennedy

10:55 a.m.

DB Darren Myles (Atlanta Carver, Ga.) signs with Tennessee. --Allen Wallace

10:49 a.m.

Washington (D.C.) St. John's College head coach has confirmed that four-star offensive guard Pete White has decided to stay at home and play for the Maryland Terrapins. White made his decision late last night.

Rutgers picked up a signing day surprise when they received the fax from Atco (N.J.) Winslow Township linebacker Ka'Lial Glaud a talented three-star prospect. Many had thought he would choose West Virginia or Maryland.

LSU is turning up the heat in the race for No. 1 as they just landed the services of Greenwood (S.C.) four-star defensive end Sam Montgomery. Scout.com's No. 7 rated prospect at defensive end chose the Tigers over Tennessee and North Carolina. --Bob Lichtenfels

10:48 a.m.

DE Sam Montgomery (Greenwood, SC) signs with LSU. --Allen Wallace

10:42 a.m.

Some updates from the state of Texas:

Texas A&M: Waiting on Chris Henderson and Stephen Barrera; Aaron Arterburn is greyshirting

TCU: Justin Isadore switched his commit to Kansas this morning

10:28 a.m.

Illinois lost Kraig Appleton, but they hung on to his four-star East St. Louis teammate Terry Hawthorne, as the Fighting Illini have received the wide receiver's Letter of Intent. Scout.com has Hawthorne as the nation's No. 11-ranked player at the position. There had been speculation that he could sign with Oklahoma. --Bob Lichtenfels

10:16 a.m.

Moments after his teammate picked USC, Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne quarterback/safety Josh Moten picked Colorado. --Brandon Huffman

10:10 a.m.

After decommitting from USC two weeks ago, Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne safety Byron Moore is back on the USC train, recommitting to the Trojans this morning over Notre Dame and Colorado. --Brandon Huffman

10:00 a.m.

Offensive lineman Aubrey Phillips was a one-time Tennessee commitment. He ended up choosing between Florida State and Auburn, and he ended the speculation ended today when his signed LOI ended up in Tallahassee. Phillips is now a Florida State Seminole. --Scott Kennedy

9:57 a.m.

The on-again, off-again relationship between East St. Louis (Ill.) four-star wide receiver Kraig Appleton and Wisconsin is now back on. BadgerNation.com has confirmed that Appleton has signed his Letter of Intent and faxed it in to the Badgers. It had been rumored that Appleton could switch from Illinois, but Appleton squashed those rumors last week. Apparently, they were true as the Badgers land one of the top wide receivers in the Midwest. --Bob Lichtenfels

9:50 a.m.

Four-Star wide receiver Stephen Hill ended any suspense he may have generated by signing with Georgia Tech today. This is the third and final declaration of his pledge to Georgia Tech, having committed to them, recommitted to them on national television, saying yesterday that he was still considering Georgia, and then finally signing with the Jackets today. --Scott Kennedy

9:42 a.m.

Stanford's stellar class got things going early, taking advantage of the three-hour head start on the day on the East Coast to get the faxes rolling into Palo Alto. Maryland native Terrance Stephens was the first to have his LOI into Jim Harbaugh's hands. --Brandon Huffman

9:32 a.m.

Las Vegas (Nev.) Cheyenne linebacker Damien Proby, the top 'backer in Las Vegas, told us this morning he will be signing today with Northwestern, in a very good get for Pat Fitzgerald and the Wildcats. --Brandon Huffman

9:25 a.m.

USC commitment Ashlon Jeffrey is going to be a USC (East) Gamecock. Jeffrey had long been rumored to make a switch from Southern Cal to the hometown Gamecocks and today he made it official. --Scott Kennedy

9:21 a.m.

Notre Dame fans can rest easy now as Scout.com's No. 1-rated offensive guard Chris Watt from Glen Ellyn (Ill.) Glenbard West has signed his Letter of Intent and faxed it in to the Fighting Irish. The Iowa Hawkeyes made a late push and they were hopeful that they could sway the U.S. Army All-American, but at 8:33 a.m. this morning Watt ended all the speculation. --Bob Lichtenfels

8:56 a.m.

The Doug Marrone era has begun at Syracuse University and this morning Marrone inked his first two players for the Orange. Groton (Mass.) Lawrence Academy quarterback Charley Loeb was the first member of the class of 2009 to sign with the Orange. Loeb was followed by local (Christian Brothers Academy) offensive lineman Andy Phillips. --Bob Lichtenfels

About two weeks ago, information was leaked that former Ohio State commit Bradley McDougald was a silent commit to Kansas. With the situation being a delicate one (him not wanting it public), the information ceased, however, that did not stop people from talking about it and wondering what would happen on Signing Day. Well folks, no need to wonder any longer. The McDougald rumor has been proven true. This morning he sent in his National Letter of Intent and is officially a Kansas Jayhawk. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound pound prospect projects as a Safety but has the talent to play running back and wide receiver, if need be. --Baron Flenory Jr.

8:47 a.m.

The National Letter of Intent for Erick McGriff of Jesuit High School in Tampa, Fla. is in, and he's going to Kansas. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound possession receiver will be headed to Lawrence this fall. --Baron Flenory Jr.

8:41 a.m.

There had been some talk that Frederick (Md.) Tuscarora four-star cornerback Dominic Clarke could possibly flip to West Virginia on Signing Day, but Clarke put those rumors to rest bright and early this morning when he signed with the Ohio State Buckeyes. --Bob Lichtenfels

8:36 a.m.

The first big Signing Day flip has happened in the Big Ten as Minnesota has received a signed Letter of Intent from Pompano Beach (Fla.) Blanche Ely three-star cornerback Michael Carter. Carter chose the West Virginia Mountaineers on NBC during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl back in January. He stated to Scout.com via text message that he woke up this morning and just felt like it was the right thing to do. He felt closer to the Minnesota staff and especially head coach Tim Brewster. --Bob Lichtenfels

7:52 a.m.

A few early morning Big East signees are in at Pittsburgh. A pair of three-star defensive ends Bernardo Nunez (Hoboken, N.J.) and Jack Lippert (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) faxed their letters in at 7:32 a.m. and 7:34 a.m. respectively.

West Virginia also received its first fax from offensive lineman Jordan Weingart from Gainesville, Fla. From the Big Ten, Philadelphia native Mark Arcidiacono, a four-star offensive tackle (St. Joseph's Prep), was the first official signee for the Penn State Nittany Lions. Ohio State had six LOI's by 7:40 a.m as offensive lineman Sam Longo, linebacker Jordan Whiting sent thiers in at 7:24 a.m., defensive back Dominic Clarke, offensive lineman Corey Linsley, fullback Carlos Hyde and wide receiver Duron Carter were next all at 7:39 a.m.

In South Bend, tight end Jake Golic and running back Theo Riddick are in as are tight end Tyler Eifert and offensive lineman Zach Martin for Notre Dame. --Bob Lichtenfels
