The mantra that I lived by as a football player was always, cream rises to the top and it has never been more evident than in the recruiting process of WR Chris Omigie of Martin High School in Arlington, TX.
Omigie played in a run heavy offense as a junior and because of that he flew under the recruiting radar. Fast forward to his senior year; the coaches at Martin HS realized that if they wanted a chance to win football games, it would be best to get Omigie the ball. Once the offensive philosophy shifted, Omigie flourished. He went from relatively unknown to a double digit offer prospect.
Utilized all five of his official visits, Omigie finally chose Kansas over Big 12 rival Nebraska.
At an athletic 6-5, Omigie will give Kansas a deep ball
threat that is not afraid to get his hands dirty and will block down field.
Good luck Mr. Omigie
