Scott Travels to Pitt

Good Counsel High School put out some awesome talent last year and this year they have another group of Division I prospects that will be going on to play football at the next level. E.J. Scott is one of their better recruits and this weekend he traveled from Wheaton, Md., to Pitt for junior day.

E.J. Scott, a 5-foot-10, 170-pound wide receiver from Good Counsel High School made the trip to Pittsburgh this weekend as he has been in contact with Coach Bryan Bossard for a long time now and talked to Scout.com on Sunday afternoon about his time on campus.

"It was really nice, I liked it a lot up there," Scott stated. "Coach Dave Wannstedt had come to my school to meet with me a while back and Coach Bryan Bossard has been in about five times, so I decided that I definitely needed to get up for junior day and check them out."

"The first thing that stood out to me was just the environment there," Scott explained. "I liked the city itself a lot and then the campus was really nice too. The coaches are all really good people who are just real with you and I just feel like they are guys that you can trust at their word which is important. We went and watched some receiver film with Coach Bossard and he taught us a lot of technique work which I'll definitely be using this season and working on. The facilities were really nice there and it's close to home, so Pittsburgh is definitely a school I'm really interested in."

"I'll also be visiting Virginia on February 28th," Scott said. "I have been talking to Coach Anthony Poindexter for a long time and we're always in touch, so he wants me to come back down there. I'm really excited to go back because I went to a game last year and really enjoyed it."
