Compton (Calif.) junior running back James McConico picked up his sixth offer, and second from the Pac-10.
"James received his sixth offer from Coach Darian Hagan and Colorado," said Compton coach Calvin Bryant.
The Buffs join Arizona State, Nebraska, Oregon, San Jose State and Washington in offering the fast rising back.
And Colorado has had success at Compton, signing Anthony Wright in the class of 2007, one of Bryant's first stars for the Tarbabes.
McConico had a strong junior season for the Tarbabes, which has contributed to his early recruitment.
"James has been nothing but stellar this season," said Bryant earlier this season. "He established himself as a speedy power runner who has excellent hands. James is one of our very versatile athletes that can excel on the next level as a running back or safety. He's very strong in the weight room and confident on the field."
As a 2008 junior, McConico ran for 1,234 yards on only 62 carries (19.9 ypc) and scored 14 touchdowns. He also caught two passes for 115 yards (57.5 ypc) and scored on both of them.
