Florida RB signs late

Trabis Ward

Trabis Ward is a three-star running back prospect from Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Dillard and he informed Scout.com that his recruitment is now over. Read on for the latest.

"I committed and signed with Tennessee State," Trabis Ward said. "I'm the top-ranked recruit they've ever gotten so they're real excited. I'm gonna have some big expectations but I'll be ready. I'm going up there this Friday to check it out."

Ward, 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds, took a late January visit to Minnesota and many expected him to ink with the Gophers.

"I was going to," he said. "I was all set but then Coach McDonough left for the NFL."

Ward ran for over 1,000 yards as a senior.
