Florida gunslinger Pete Martinsen had a terrific three-year career for Dwyer High School in Palm Beach, Florida. He'll play his college football in the Big Ten conference.
"We visited
Minnesota
the first weekend in December," said
Pete Martinsen
Sr.
"Pete committed while on the visit. He's comfortable with the Minnesota coaches and we feel it will be a good fit for him.
"Coach (Glen) Mason was telling Pete before he came home from the visit that he was going to beat the bushes looking for a couple of receivers for him.
"The commitment is solid and we won't be taking any other visits."
Martinsen, a 6-foot-4, 220-pounder, from Palm Beach (Fla.) Dwyer is a three-year starter that was named all-area by the Palm Beach Post Times.
He threw for 1,800 yards and 18 touchdowns in 2002.
