Offers continue to be handed out in the class of 2010. Find out which players recently scored offers and more from around the region.
Offer Updates
Orchard Lake St. Mary's (Mich.) quarterback
Robert Bolden
received his 17th offer this week as the Tigers became the latest to offer the 6'4, 195-lb prospect. He also recently scored an offer from Indiana.
After visiting the campus this weekend, Warren Fitzgerald (Mich.) linebacker
Austin Gray
was offered by the Iowa Hawkeyes. He also received his official offer from Illinois. Fitzgerald head coach Jason Byers says they will also know this week if Wisconsin will offer.
Oak Lawn Richards (Ill.) wide receiver
Keith Sconiers
is now up to two offers, as Arizona has added themselves to the list. The 6'3, 175-lb junior had previously held an offer from Minnesota.
The first is always memorable and
A.J. Tarpley
has his initial offer. The Plymouth Wayzata (Minn.) running back was offered by Central Florida recently. He is also hearing from Iowa, Alabama, Minnesota and others.
One of the top players in Michigan this year is Warren Mott defensive end
C.J. Olaniyan
. The 6'5, 230-lber is now up to six offers as Virginia Tech extended one, adding to Wisconsin, Penn State, Michigan State, Indiana and Kentucky.
Columbus Brookhaven (Ohio) defensive end
Derrick Bryant
was offered by Minnesota this week. The 6'5, 230-lb rush end says USC has also been showing more interest and he believes the Trojans could offer soon.
Detroit Renaissance cornerback
Mylan Hicks
was offered by Vanderbilt last week. The 5'10, 175-lb Hicks is also receiving strong attention from Michigan State, Notre Dame and Michigan. He has additional offers from Toledo and Central Michigan.
Score6 Academy Breakdown
Ryan Hockman and Precision Football held their QB/WR workout at Michigan State last week. Several players at the event stood out to us. The 2011 class actually stole the show as Louisville Seneca quarterback Damarcus Smith and wide receivers
DeAnthony Arnett
(Saginaw, MI), Ashton Gaines (Detroit, MI),
Lawrence Thomas
(Detroit, MI) and Anthony Johnson (Sterling Heights, MI) all turned in impressive performances. Look for a detailed report on these prospects later in the week.
Colleges Looking Harder at Midwest
The midwest is particularly strong this year, with the states being loaded with talent. Illinois already has 22 players with FBS offers, Michigan has 18, Indiana has nine, Minnesota has five and Wisconsin four. On March 28th and 29th, each state will have a chance to represent itself as the New Level Athletics 7 on 7 tournament comes to Ohio State. A number of top players from those states are already registered. More information can be found at
