Mitchell Talks Junior Days
Dillon Mitchell profile Dillon is one of the top tight end prospects in the state of Mississippi for the 2010 signing class. Several schools have already begun correspondence with the 6-5, 205 pounder. "I am getting a good bit of letters from Mississippi State, Duke and Southern Miss have sent me some stuff," said Mitchell. "Several other schools have sent me some other things like Arkansas and LSU and a few more. Mississippi State sends me the most." Mitchell and teammates Asian Ruff and Deshawn McGaughy all recently made the trip over to Starkville to check in on the Bulldogs. "I went to Mississippi State's junior day," said Dillon. "It went good. I talked to the all of the coaches and they are getting everything down there for the spring. I may go up there for some practices. I plan on going over there for the spring game and Super Bulldog weekend." During the course of his Junior Day visit, Mitchell was able to speak directly to several of the Mississippi State coaches. "They said that I need to keep working hard in the weight room," said Dillon of the coaches' feedback. "I talked to the tight end coach and he told me the kind of guy they were going to have. They want a hybrid kind of guy that can do some catching and blocking. I am already pretty good at both." While Mitchell is anxiously awaiting the arrival of offer number one, he has a good idea about the type of situation he is looking for. "I just want to find a place I can feel comfortable,": said Dillon. "I just want to play for some coaches that like me and they can get the most out of me. I have playing for my dad and he expects a lot out of me. I know in college they are going to work even harder." Dillon has been invited to Southern Miss' Junior day this weekend.
