New Interest in Yowk

Malcolm Yowk hasn’t picked up any more offers since we last spoke with him, however with it being this early in recruiting that isn’t something the tailback is worrying about right now. New schools are in touch and he’s excited to hear from them.

Malcolm Yowk, a 5-foot-9, 165-pound running back from Caesar Rodney High School in Camden-Wyoming, Del., still holds a sole offer from Rutgers, but that isn’t the only school showing him interest. Yowk filled us in on the latest programs to start talking to him on Sunday afternoon.

“Michigan State, Maryland, Temple, Illinois and quite a few other schools have been in touch with me lately,” Yowk said. “I have talked to Maryland and Temple over the phone, but I really don’t know many details about any of those schools yet, so I have to sit down and read up on them.”

“The coaches at Rutgers have been keeping in touch with me on a regular basis and I just spoke to them this week. They want me to come up for spring practices and camp if I can make it. They are definitely one of my top five schools right now.”

Yowk may also camp at Penn State this summer as the Nittany Lion coaching staff has asked him to make a stop at Happy Valley.
