Giubilato Attending Milford Academy

St. Joseph’s Prep signal caller Mark Giubilato only had one year to show his talents as a senior in 2008 and while he had a scholarship offer to attend Temple University, he decided that he wanted to explore his options further and did not sign with the Owls. He has now enrolled at Milford Academy and will most likely start for them.

Mark Giubilato is an excellent athlete with very good size at 6-foot-3.5, 232 pounds and had interest at quarterback, tight end and linebacker last season from several schools including Temple, Pittsburgh and Rutgers. The Philadelphia, Pa., native chose to enroll at Milford Academy this week and will be the starting quarterback barring an injury.

“My father and I went up to meet with Coach Chaplick this weekend and he was a really good guy who I felt very comfortable with,” Giubilato said. “We took a tour of the campus and I felt extremely comfortable while I was there.”

“After the tour my father and I sat down and I decided that Milford was where I wanted to be,” Giubilato added. “A lot of great players and coaches have been through that program and I’m excited to join that tradition. I’m going up in July for practices and will play there this year. I’m just excited because Coach Chaplick thinks a lot of schools will be interested in me and I’ll also have outstanding skill position players around me at receiver and running back.”
