Last season Moscow, Pa., signal caller Nick Raven didn’t quite reach the goals he had in recruiting, so he has decided to spend a semester working with Coach Chaplick at Milford Academy, a program that has been extremely successful in helping post grad players get into college.

Nick Raven, a 6-foot-2, 186-pound quarterback from North Pocono High School passed up preferred walk-on offers from Michigan State and Vanderbilt last season and will attend Milford Academy for a semester hoping to boost his stock according to an email he sent to Scout.com recently.

“I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know that I have recently committed to a post-graduate semester at Milford Academy in New Berlin, N.Y., with Coach Chaplick,” Raven said. “Although I received offers of preferred walk-on status from Michigan State and Vanderbilt, I am hopeful of scholarship opportunities as part of the 2010 recruiting class following a successful season at Milford.”
