Ted Meline has a list of offers and he has given each school a look, but two stand out to him more…
UGA has everything Meline wants
"It was my first visit up to Georgia and it was lovely," said Ted Meline. "I saw the weight room, I learned about their academics, I spent time with the coaches, I toured the campus, and I saw everything at Georgia. They have everything I want in a school and I loved it up there." During the visit, Meline had the opportunity to sit down and talk one on one with UGA Head Coach Mark Richt. "I went up to Coach Richt's office and talked to him for a while. He is a real cool dude and a great coach. He talked to me about Georgia, about how they would like to have me there, and some other stuff. He told me that Georgia would like to have me, but that they are not going to beg. They want me to go where I want to go and if I don't choose Georgia, then they will wish me the best. He was really easy to talk to like all the coaches there are and I liked him." Not only did he see Coach Richt in his office, but he saw him on the practice field as well. The 6-foot-3, 170 pound athlete that claims to run the 40 yard dash in 4.4 second liked what he saw on the practice fields in Athens. "Georgia looked real good out there and I was watching the defensive backs and the receivers," said the junior out of Miami (FL) Booker T. Washington. "I think they could use some more good defensive backs, so me, Tony Grimes, and Keion Payne think we could do some things up there. I have my offer and they are waiting for theirs." "I also watched some of the offense and I thought A.J. Green and Mike Moore looked good. A.J. is the deep guy and Mike is the guy that makes the plays in the middle of the field. It is a good combination and I like the system that they run. I think I fit in perfect there and I talked to Aaron Murray about that too. We could do some good things together at Georgia." At the end of the day, Meline had a lot of praise for the Bulldogs. Before the visit, he said Oregon and Georgia were tied on top of his list, but that is not the case right now. "Georgia is on top by themselves now and I really liked it up there. My interest in them is very high and I liked the facilities, the coaches, the atmosphere, the people, and the depth charts. They had everything I want at Georgia and I liked it up there a lot." Could a commitment be around the corner? He does not want to put an exact time on it, but he still plans to make an early decision. "I do not know when for sure, but sometime during the spring I will make my decision," said Meline. "I still want to commit early and I may do it during our spring game or something like that. I plan on taking some more visits comparing everyone, and then picking the best school." Georgia impressed Meline on Saturday and he has named the Dawgs on top of his list. He is being recruited by UGA as an athlete. They have talked to him about safety and wide receiver.
