Matt Robinson is a talented two sport athlete who plays well on both sides of the ball. After leading his school to a district championship in basketball, Robinson says he wants to work his way back into football shape before he starts attending camps later on this spring.
Matt Robinson is a versatile athlete who is proving he has what it takes to play on either side of the ball at the division one level. Matt reports that
Pittsburgh
is showing interest and wants him to play wide receiver or tight end, while
Maryland
wants him at safety. The 6-foot-4, 205-pounder says he wants to get some of his football strength back before camping this spring.
“After a long basketball season of running and running and running some more, I’d like to hit the weight room a little and catch some balls before I go show what I have to offer schools.”
As for his nickname, Matt has a funny story to tell.
“They call me ‘Bobbleson’. It started as Matt Bobble Robinson, then my coaches just started calling me Bobbleson. I got the name because my sophomore year when I was returning punts I think I had like four fumbles or bobbles in three games. So everyone started calling me Bobble. The only good thing about having that nickname stick is that ever since they started calling me that I stopped dropping punts. So I would rather have the nickname than give the ball away.”
Robinson plans on visiting Pittsburgh, Maryland,
Virginia
,
North Carolina
, and
North Carolina State
this summer.
