Interest Rising on Schneider

Interest has been picking up in E.J. Schneider and while he’s been getting a lot of interest from Ivy League programs he has also been talking to Maryland and Connecticut as well. He caught us up on his recruiting picture this week.

E.J. Schneider, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound quarterback from Delbarton High School just sent his film out to a plethora of schools and so far, the results have been very positive.

“I have a lot of visits coming up this month as when I sent out my film I got about 30 or 40 emails back from different programs,” Schneider said. “My coach wants me to limit my visits at this point, so I’m visiting Penn, Princeton, Bucknell, Bryant and Maryland in April.”

“I’ve been talking to Maryland once a week and they really want me to come down and see the campus,” Schneider explained. “I talk to Coach Dave Sollazzo and he is a really nice guy who has been showing me a lot of interest and urging me to come to their junior day on the 18th and come camp with them.”

“From everything I hear they have great facilities and I do know they play outstanding competition in the ACC. They also offer great academics there, so that combination of football and education is intriguing.”

Connecticut also invited Schneider to their spring game, but it conflicts with his visit to Maryland who is showing much, much more interest.
