"I took my trips to Colorado State and Washington State," Leaf said. "When I visited Oregon (Dec. 20), I knew that was the place for me. I just really liked the facilities, the players on the team and the coaches a lot. I know a lot of people thought I was going to Washington State because Ryan went there and they offered early but I felt I fit in better at Oregon and my family supported my decision."
In addition to the Rams and Cougars, Leaf had offers from Fresno State, Montana State, Boise State and Idaho State. He led his team to a 13-0 record and the state championship as a junior.
"We came up a little short this year," Leaf said. "We lost in the state title game and finished 11-2. I threw for 3,500 yards and 30 touchdowns but it just wasn't enough."
Editors Note: For those curious if Brady has a similar attitude as his famous brother Ryan, he was easily one of the nicest and down to earth kids we've dealt with all year and will be a fine credit to Oregon when he gets there.
