San Jose (Calif.) Bellarmine Prep running back/defensive back Kyle Olugbode got a front row seat to recruiting a year ago, where four of his Bells teammates signed with D-I programs.
And Olugbode will have big shoes to fill in replacing one of them, Usua Amanam, a four-star back headed to Stanford, and the key cog in the Bells CIF-CCS title.
But Olugbode is ready for his senior year, and things are picking up in his recruitment.
"I am getting interest from Stanford, UCLA, Wake Forest, Oregon, Arizona State, Washington, Washington State, Colorado, Princeton and Harvard," said Olugbode. "I have no offers (yet)."
Olugbode plays on both sides of the ball and is coming off a strong junior season, where he would spell Amanam offensively, but also started in the secondary.
"Last year I had 59 carries for 360 yards and on defense I had two interceptions and I scored six touchdowns," said Olugbode.
Olugbode is planning a busy spring, having taken in a couple of Junior Days, including one to Wake Forest, and he'll be at the Los Angeles Scout.com Combine.
