Florida QB claims seven offers
Mark Leal is fresh off an excellent junior season. He threw for 2,355 yards, 21 touchdowns, and threw just seven picks. He also added five scores on the ground. "I have a lot of great players around me in our offense," Leal said. "I just try going out there and making things happen. I'm playing baseball right now but I'm excited about getting back out there with the football team this spring." Leal, 6-feet and 180 pounds, has emerged as a major college prospect. He claims an impressive offer sheet. "I now have seven offers," he said. "They are FIU, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt, Rutgers, Oregon, and Virginia Tech." With seven early offers, does anyone stand out above the rest? "Yeah, Virginia Tech is my top choice right now," he said. "I have a real good relationship with the coaches and their style of quarterbacks fit me real good. I think I could fit in real well there." The Hokies aren't the only school he has a lot of interest in. He mentioned three others and what he'll be looking for in a school. "I also like Oregon, Rutgers, and Florida State a lot," he said. "FSU hasn't offered me yet though. I'll be looking for a chance to play right away and a good academic school." Inside the classroom, Leal claims a 3.4 GPA and a 23 ACT score.
