Chad Lindsay picks the Tide
Chad Lindsay becomes commitment No. 6 for the Crimson Tide. Alabama has been on a hot streak the last week collecting commitments from Lindsay, Nick Perry, safety from Prattville, Ala., and Blake Sims, athlete from Gainesville, Ga. Lindsay's mom attended LSU and a sister is currently enrolled in Baton Rouge. His father played football for Mississippi State. "I am going to roll with the Tide," said Lindsay. "It just felt right. The campus, coaching staff and whole atmosphere was a big part of my decision. It felt like home to me." "The coaches are already informed. I told them before I announced my decision. I talked to coach [Nick] Saban, coach [Joe] Pendry and coach Bo Davis. They were excited. They said congrats and can't wait to have me up there." "I went to LSU and Alabama. I took a step back from football and looked at academics. It just felt better for me at Alabama than it did at LSU." "The facilities are outstanding. The campus is perfect. The people are great. A place where I would like to go to college the next four to five years. My parents said I couldn't go wrong with any school. They just said whichever feels best." "I plan on playing guard. Coach Pendry is a great offensive line coach. He has coached in the NFL. Why wouldn't anyone want to play for him. He is a great coach." "I haven't decided if I am going to take visits. Alabama is where I am committed to. I don't think I am going to change. I don't have any plans right now. I am just taking this all in. I am probably going to be back over at Alabama in the summer." The 6-foot-3, 310-pound offensive guard sports a 425-pound bench press and 530-pound squat max. A Texas Football 1st Team All-State and 2008 5A Texas Football All Junior Team.
