"My coach took me over there Saturday," added Kaleb Eulls. "Man, Ole Miss, I love that school. People around here talk
bad about Ole Miss, but the school is amazing. It is big, but everything is
close together. You can get everywhere quickly."
What was the word around town about Ole Miss?
"Well, you have to understand, it really is coming from the MSU fans around
here. You know they are big rivals. It gets like that between rivals. It is
like us against Yazoo City. We dog them and they dog us out. We are rivals."
What new did Eulls learn about Ole Miss?
"I learned that their coaches are more friendly than I even thought. I
also had a chance to talk to Coach Nutt, and he is more energetic than I thought.
He is a very excitable person."
Outside of the misperception Kaleb had about Ole Miss before he arrived, what
surprised him the most?

Just coach Nutt. If I had to rank my favorite coach I have met so far, he would
be number one without a doubt. He shows so much excitement. Coach Nutt talks
to you without pressuring you. The rest of the staff impressed me too. When
I was eating, a couple of the coaches came and sat down with me. You can tell
when coaches care because they look you in the eye the whole time. Every Ole
Miss coach that came and talked to me, they all looked at me in the eye the
whole time they talked to me. It was not a bunch of recruiting talk like you
get from a lot of coaches. I think I impressed them too because you know how
a lot of people look down at their food when they are talking to you while you
are eating. Well, I looked them straight in the eye the whole time. They told
me I was a man because I never not looked them in the eye when I talked to them.
They are really big into recruiting the right kind of people into their program,
and they think I would be a perfect fit."
Kaleb toured the facilities, grabbed some lunch, and then he headed over to
the practice field for the scrimmage.
"The one thing I learned by standing on the sidelines and watching them
scrimmage is that their players are great guys. If someone does something bad,
they keep each other going. They have a great comradeship. And the thing that
I learned about the coaches is how much love they have for their players. I
could also see how competitive they are with their players by how they were
coaching them. When someone did something wrong, the coaches started teaching
them what they did wrong, instead of yelling and screaming at them. That really
impressed me."
What about the overall environment at Ole Miss?
"I learned it is a great environment. It speaks for itself. The students,
faculty, staff, and players. They do not have to sell that Ole Miss is a great
place to be. All you have to do is watch them to see what it is all about. Ole
Miss speaks for itself. That is the best way I can put it."
Where do the Rebels now stand?
"This puts them under serious consideration for me. This bumps them up
in my Top 3 or 4 colleges. Before I took my visit, they were like at the end
of my list, but now they are up there at the top with a couple of others."
Who else is at the top of the pecking order?
"USM, MSU, and Alabama."
Where does Kaleb visit next?
"I am going to LSU for their Spring game on April 18th."
