Ronald Carswell
Asst. Regional Manager
Posted Apr 7, 2009

Ronald Carswell, wide receiver from Atlanta-Westside, Ga., decided to commit to the University of Alabama Tuesday afternoon after talking with Alabama head coach Nick Saban and defensive coordinator Kirby Smart. Carswell talked about the decision to roll with the Crimson Tide.

"I committed to Alabama about 2:30," said Ronald Carswell. "I talked to coach Saban and coach Smart. I told them when I left high school I wanted to be playing for Alabama."

"They were excited and happy that I committed. They want me come to play receiver. I like them. They are pretty nice guys."

"It’s Alabama. They are one of the top programs in the nation. It wasn’t going to get any better than Alabama. I like how they play football. They are the biggest team in Alabama. They don’t have a pro team. It’s all about the Crimson Tide."

"It feels real good to be committed to them. I have a lot of stress off me now. I had an offer from East Carolina. Florida and Clemson were showing some interest. I think I will still take some visits."
