Robert Boswell can run. He can really run. He clocked one of the fastest 40 times at any of the Scout Combines so far this year on the laser.
"My speed helps," Boswell said. "I just try to go out there and make things happen. I can play on both sides of the ball and I think I bring a lot of versatility."
Boswell, 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds, plays on both sides at Fleming Island. He used that versatility to rush for 600 yards, catch 300 yards worth of balls, and to make some plays on defense. Some schools like him on offense at the next level, some on defense. The first school to react to his abilities was FIU.
"FIU was my first offer recently," he said. "That was good getting the first one. Hopefully I'll be getting more soon."
Several college programs will be coming by to watch him in the spring and Boswell has a few in mind that he's hoping to see.
"My top five right now would be Florida State, South Carolina, USF, UCF, and Clemson," he said. "Florida State was my favorite team growing up but I don't know how interested they are right now."
Boswell knows what he'll be looking for when it comes time to make a decision.
"The two main things will be how their education is and how their overall athletic program is," he said.
Inside the classroom, Boswell claims a 3.5 GPA and hasn't reported a test score yet.
