All About Academics

Lansdale, Pa., product J.D. Dzurko loves the game of football, but he also understands that it is a means to an end. Dzurko grew up wrestling and playing football since he was a child, however his real passion is for engineering, the major he plans to take in college.

Pure centers are hard to come across and at 6-foot-3, 265 pounds, North Penn High School offensive lineman J.D. Dzurko brings that talent to the table. He has been working with a personal trainer, has excellent short area quickness and could still add 30 to 40 pounds easily to play at the collegiate level.

“Right now I’ve been hearing from just about every Ivy League school, but I’d say the ones giving me the most interest are Penn, Princeton and Cornell,” Dzurko explained. “I have also been getting letters from Purdue and Vanderbilt and some interest from Villanova and Rutgers as well.”

“I would really love to go to Purdue because they’re known for being a great engineering school and that’s what I want to get into,” Dzurko added. “I would like to major in aerospace engineering so I can design planes after school. Purdue also is a high level of football and the coaching staff is coming to visit me in May.”

Dzurko is essentially looking for the best combination of football and academics for his future.
