Drew Dearman profile
"I am hearing from Arkansas, Mississippi State, Auburn and UAB," said Drew. "I think I am probably hearing the most from Arkansas and Mississippi State right now."
Dearman is just beginning to make the stops on his regional college tour. He missed some events earlier in the process.
"I was supposed to go to Arkansas' junior day, but I couldn't make it," said Drew. "I am going to Auburn's A Day next weekend."
This weekend, the 6-4, 275 pounder stopped over in Starkville, Mississippi for the Mississippi State Bulldogs scrimmage.
"It was good," said Drew of his unofficial visit. "I got to talk to Coach Knox and Coach Hevesy the O line coach. They told me they were glad I came. They said they were looking to get some Alabama boys and that they want me to send some more tape in."
This weekend's trip was the first time the Birmingham product had visited the MSU campus.
"It was a really nice," said Dearman. "The facilities are nice. They have some real nice fields. The coaches were real intense. They seem to really know what they were doing."
In a few months, Drew will be on the road and in attendance at several senior camps in hopes of earning some college options.
"I plan on going to Auburn, Duke, Arkansas and maybe a few more this summer," said Dearman. "I will probably camp at Alabama. I am not sure yet."
When decision time comes, the chance to succeed on and off the field will be an important factor.
"I want a school that treats me well academically and some where I can play," said Dearman. "I think I will probably be a guard or center in college, so that's something I will look at too."
