Missouri and Colorado have become the latest schools to offer Detroit Renaissance product Mylan Hicks.
The 5'10, 175-lb cornerback/running back now has eight offers, as the Tigers join Michigan, Michigan State, Vanderbilt, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan and Arizona.
"They called me awhile back," said Renaissance assistant coach Antoine Edwards, "and they inquired about him. I sent the film out there, then they saw film on the internet and didn’t call back, but the offer letter came. The letter came, got on phone with coach Kuligowski. They sent a letter out and said come to Missouri for spring game this Saturday, I don’t know if he’ll be able to come."
Colorado offered shortly after today.
"He just got another one. Colorado offered today. They've been recruiting the school pretty hard, they recruited Derek Knight (now at West Virginia)," Edwards said.
The Tigers have also been recruiting Renaissance linebacker Lawrence Thomas, one of the top prospects in the midwest in the class of 2011.
"They said Lawrence will probably get one on September 1st too, if he keeps his grades up and keeps working hard."
