"I officially have one offer from Nebraska
," said Dallas Carter safety Russell Polk
. "They're sitting pretty with me right now. They're my first offer so it feels good that they noticed me. Right after the season, one of the coaches came down to my school and he said that he liked my work ethic and how I play and they offered me. It was an honor to pick up an offer from a school like that. I don't know much about them, but I know they have great tradition and fans are some of the best in the world."

Also pursuing Polk is the Huskers Big 12 North foe, the Kansas Jayhawks.

"They want me to come to camp. I get that stuff from them all the time. I'm going to try to make it, if I can. I think they're going to come to my school for a spring practice so they will see me there too."
Russell Polk is not a man of many words. He'd rather show than tell. However, when it comes to talking about Big12 North rivals, Nebraska and Kansas, Polk had much to say.
