Florida DT lands first offer

Wade Isaac is one of the top returning defensive linemen in Dade County this season and the Miami (Norland) standout talked to Scout.com about the latest.

Wade Isaac is coming off a couple solid seasons in a row at Miami's Edison High School but he's taken his game to nearby Norland High for his senior season.

"We're looking good," Isaac said. "A lot of people are coming back and we're gonna make a run."

Isaac, 6-foot-2 and 245 pounds, will anchor down the middle of the interior defensive line. He finished with four sacks a season ago.

"I'm real disciplined in there," he said. "You have to be to be effective at this position. And I'm not the biggest guy so I'm real aggressive in there."

The standout defensive lineman recently landed his first scholarship offer and believes others will soon follow.

"FIU offered me not too long ago," he said. "I was happy to get that first one. They seem pretty cool and it's close to home. I also like Miami, FAU, USF, and Georgia."

Isaac knows what he'll be looking for when choosing a school.

"First will be the education and second will be how well they prepare me for the future," he said.

Inside the classroom, Isaac claims a 2.9 GPA and hasn't reported a test score yet.
