San Diego (Calif.) Scripps Ranch running back Brennan Clay, a four-star prospect by Scout.com, picked up a few more offers over the weekend.
"Oklahoma offered me and BYU offered on Thursday," said Clay.
The Sooners and Cougars join Arizona State, Oregon, Georgia, Stanford, Michigan, Duke, Connecticut and San Diego State as well as Baylor and Wisconsin in offering Clay.
"I gave Coach (Cale) Gundy a call and we just got to talking about life and the program at Oklahoma. He told me about how much they wanted me to be a part of their program and then they told me an offered was coming. I went to get the mail and there it was."
That came on the heels of an offer from BYU.
"The BYU offer was great," said Clay. "I got a chance to get to know Coach (Lance) Reynolds and a little about the program so I'm excited about them as well."
Clay is hopeful more offers come in.
"Honestly, I want Florida and Texas on the list," said Clay. "I think I'll fit either program."
The first player in San Diego history to go over 1,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards receiving, Clay is ranked #18 nationally by Scout.com.
He'll be at the Scout.com Combine in Los Angeles later this month.
