Tyrek Cheeseboro is keeping very busy this offseason. He has attended combines and camps, visited schools, ran track for his high school all while continuing to work out each day he can. Cheeseboro has felt the impact of all that hard work through four scholarship offers to date. “Maryland, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and Virginia have offered me,” said Cheeseboro. “I don’t mind putting in the time to work for my opportunities.”
Cheeseboro is hoping his summer plans will lead to even more opportunities. “I plan to camp at Pittsburgh, West Virginia and Georgia for sure. I want to get an offer form West Virginia and Georgia so I will go to their camp and show what I can do.”
Already with visits to Pittsburgh and Maryland, Cheeseboro talked about each one.
Pittsburgh – The atmosphere is great. They have a great community there. The academics are very good. I love the coaches there especially Coach (Bryan) Bossard, my potential position coach.
Maryland – I like the campus a lot. Everything is real convenient to get to. They have the academic support, weights and facilities all right there. Coach (James) Franklin is a great guy as well.
Cheeseboro knows exactly what he is looking for from a college. “I want great academics with the right football fit. I want the coaches, players and students to be like a big family. I want to know my future is important to the coaches and staff because football will end sometime.
Cheeseboro reports a 2.8 GPA and took the SAT last weekend.
