Florida ATH on verge of big offers?
"I have offers from Buffalo, FIU, Minnesota, Rutgers, and Indiana right now," said Darius Millines. "Indiana just offered me last week and that is my newest offer. Five schools have officially offered Millines, but he feels a number of schools are very close. "I am getting a lot of interest from Georgia, Miami, Florida, Syracuse, Florida State, UCF, West Virginia, South Florida, and Boston College right now. I think any of them could be close to offering me." One of those programs stopped by American Heritage recently to check on the 5-foot-11, 180 pound athlete. "Georgia came by the school last week and I have a lot of interest in them. I have talked to them a couple of times and they requested more film on me. They have only see a little and they told me that they like me and that they want to see more. They are going to come back now and see me practice this spring." Georgia and South Carolina are the only schools that have stopped by to check on Millines to date to his knowledge. More will be by in the next three weeks as they go through spring practice. Early on, the versatile athlete does not have a true leader, but he said two schools currently stand out to him. "Miami and Georgia are two schools that I really like," he said. "Miami is a school I have always liked and have been there for a couple of games and practices too. I really like Coach [Tony] Ball and Coach [John] Jancek from Georgia and I have been looking into their school. I like their football program a lot." Neither one of those two have offered yet, but Millines is being patient. He does not have all the offers he wants yet, but he is working hard and hoping to get them. "I ran a 4.42 in the 40 yard dash at the NIKE Combine, so I am working to get faster, stronger, and whatever else I need to improve. I can play wide receiver or defensive back too, so hopefully that helps me get more offers." "I don't think coaches have seen enough film on me yet, so I hope they come see me practice this spring."
