Maxing Out

Aramide Olaniyan is testing his limits this week to find out how much the hard work he has been putting in has paid off. Olaniyan dropped Scout.com a line to let us know exactly where he stands right now.

Aramide Olaniyan is rated a 4-star prospect on Scout and with numbers like these from a defensive end/outside linebacker hybrid it’s not hard to see why Duke is coveting him so much as the prize of their recruiting class. In a brief message, Olaniyan tells Scout.com how things went for him in max week.

“Workouts have been going well,” says Aramide. “We have been maxing out all week. I hit 280-pounds on the bench press but I think I could do better next Monday. Coach made me stop at 550-pounds on the squat. I might try to hit 600 before long.”

With power numbers like these and a sub 4.6-second 40-yard dash, Olaniyan could be one of the best athletes Duke has landed in a long while.
