Here are junior season highlights of Midwest City (Okla.) defensive tackle Dominique Jones…
Offers in For Jones
"Recruiting is going good," said Oklahoma City native Dominique Jones. "I have some pretty good offers." Louisville, Arizona, Kansas, Kansas State, and Tulsa are the schools that have offered and Scout.com asked him to speak about each one. Louisville - "Its pretty cool. I talked with the coach and he wants me to come down for camp so I can learn more about the program because I don't know a lot about them. Being from Oklahoma, you don't hear a lot about Louisville but, when I get stuff in the mail, I read it and they seem like a place that I would like to learn more about." Kansas State - "I talked to the d-line coach and I liked his personality and how he puts the player first. He puts family, and the character of players, and things like that before football. I like that." Kansas - "I got to meet one of the coaches the other day but it was real brief. Other than that, I don't know too much about them. I like how the last couple of years they have been going to bowl games and my uncle tells me that they are a good program and that the school is really good. But, that's about it." Arizona - "I haven't talked to them a lot and because they are in the PAC 10, I don't get to see them play. I have to rely on what the recruiter says and what my coaches say. Right now, I'm still trying to feel them out." Tulsa - "I got teammates that go there and they love it. They tell me they like it a lot. And its close to home." Jones, who is also receiving interest from Oklahoma State and TCU, will be attending summer camp at Oklahoma State and Kansas State. As a junior, he recorded 114 tackles with 5 sacks while managing a 2.8 GPA and scored a 16 on the ACT.
