"It came as a complete shock," said Andrew Tallman
speaking of his latest offer. "I sent my tape in and I hadn't heard anything, period. So when I talked to Coach Hill and he said that they offered and that they wanted me, I was shocked. It was exciting."
Tallman, born in Hawaii, has interest in SMU because he is fond of Head Coach June Jones.
"I like the fact that they have Coach June Jones. He is a proven winner and even though they didn't have the best season last year, I'm sure Coach Jones can turn things around and do much of the things he did at Hawaii."
SMU joins New Hampshire and Virginia as the schools to offer. But Utah, Iowa, and Miami seem to be on the verge.
He will visit SMU sometime in July.
