Barton/NSCS Update - Brett Wallan

Brett Wallan is a 6-foot-1, 220-pound athlete from Medford (Ore.) South Medford, and Wallan took advantage of his opportunity at the 4th Annual Barton Football / Next Step College Sports Marketing Workout, held Saturday at Willamette University.

Wallan ran a 4.9 40 and a 4.8 20-yard shuttle, and is hearing mostly from Oregon, Washington State, Army and Hillsdale College in Michigan.

He will be a busy camper this spring, as his first stop will be to Eugene, Ore. to attend Oregon's camp. "I'm not sure about Idaho and Boise State, but I might go there with (South Medford QB) Josh (Milhollin)," Wallan told Scout.com. He will also be heading up to a showcase at the new Seattle Seahawks' facility, the VMAC, and then his team camp at Gold Beach in southern Oregon.

Wallan also has stops planned for Portland State and Oregon State, and will also take part in the prestigious B2G showcase down in southern California.

"Brett is one of the best pure football players in the entire NW," said Barton Football founder Greg Barton. "He is a play-maker on defense. He makes plays with his speed, quickness and toughness."
