A Big Ten school became the first to offer Corona (Calif.) Santiago safety/outside linebacker Anthony Brown...

Corona (Calif.) Santiago safety/outside linebacker Anthony Brown picked up his first offer this week, from the Big Ten.

"Coach (Tim) Brewster from Minnesota offered me," said Brown.

The Gophers got the jump on the 6-3, 185-pound Brown, who will be at the Scout.com Combine in Los Angeles this weekend.

"They offered me as an outside linebacker and safety," said Brown.

Brown had 48 tackles, two sacks and an interception as a 2008 junior at Santiago.
