Offer Number One
Erik Buchanan profile "UL-Monroe offered me today," said Erik. "This was my first offer. My coach told me about it and I called and I spoke with the DB coach there and he told me about it. They are recruiting me as a wide receiver." After speaking with the Warhawks' staff, Erik feels like a priority to the ULM program. "They said they like my hands, my concentration and my ability to get open," said Buchanan. "I don't know a lot about them, but they seem to really like me. They talked to my parents and everything." While ULM is a new item in Erik's thought patterns, he is anxious to learn more about the program. "I am going out and see them for a weekend or something and watch their one day senior camp or something like that," said Buchanan who broke his arm in the spring game. "I am out of the sling now and I have to wear this cast for two more weeks. After that I am going to be straight." While the Warhawks were the first school to offer, a handful of other schools are showing interest. "I am getting some attention from Southern Miss, Mississippi State, Arkansas State and Memphis," said Erik. "I talked to a coach from Memphis and I talk to Mississippi State and Southern Miss a lot." Buchanan reports that he is not considering an early commitment and that he plans to take his time with the recruiting process.
