While Jake Heaps was verbally committing to BYU, there was also some very good news to pass along from one of Heaps' linemen on Thursday. Evan Day, a 6-foot-2, 247-pound defensive end from Sammamish (Wash.) Skyline - and one of the top performers at this past weekend's Competitive Edge Combine - earned his first scholarship offer.

"i got an offer from Air Force," Day told Scout.com on Thursday. Washington State, Oregon State and Oregon are also Day's current schools of interest.

At the Competitive Edge Combine, Day ran a 4.9 40, 4.4 shuttle, repped 185 pounds 24 times and jumped 9 feet in the standing broad jump.
