Austin Reifeis is a 6-foot-3, 230-pound tight end/defensive end prospect from Eastlake High School in Redmond, Wash., and Reifeis got some great news Wednesday from the island of Oahu, as the Hawai'i Warriors offered him a scholarship.

"I talked to Coach (Chris) Tormey from the University of Hawaii and that they offered me a scholarship today," Reifeis told Scout.com via email. "He said they really like me on defense and that they don't really use a tight end in their offense so I'm pretty sure it's for defense."

Tormey should know all about Reifeis; for the last five years he was an assistant coach for the Washington Huskies.

Besides the good news from the Warriors, Reifeis has been hearing most from Oregon State, Boise State and Colorado State. He recently returned from a half-day camp in Corvallis, Ore., and he's tripping out to Boise this coming weekend to camp.

"After that I'm doing the Eastern Washington, WSU, UW and Colorado State camps," Reifeis shared.
