"I had a really good spring," Diondre Curtis said. "I got a whole lot better at Wide Receiver."
The Gordon Central HS (GA) product has been playing RB for as long as he can remember, but circumstances this past winter dictated a move to the perimeter, and (based on the fact that the Warriors are running the spread) it appears that the move just might pay off for everyone involved.
"We had a really good spring and our offense was working good together," he said. "And I feel like I had good spring game."
The coaches at GC have certainly taken notice of the change in Curtis and are well aware of what he adds to the offense.
"Diondre gives us a legitimate threat at WR," Head Coach Chad Fisher said. "He has the speed to get vertical and is dangerous out in space."
He'll also help to open up the running game by stretching defenses."
The coaches aren't the only ones who have taken notice, as there have been several schools who have come by the Gordon County campus.
"Georgia Southern has been by," Curtis said. "Along with Middle Tennessee State."
Presbyterian and Troy have been by, too."
Does the play-maker have any idea as to who his favorites might be?
"Yes Sir, I like Troy, Southern Mississippi, Middle Tennessee and Georgia Southern."
Are there any plans to go camping or visiting?
"I have already camped at Middle (Tennessee)," he shared. "And I am looking into visiting the others."
Stay Tuned as Curtis's recruiting continues to pick up.
