Romain Being Bombarded

Don Bosco Prep athlete Dillon Romain decided to bite the bullet when his backup running backs were injured as a senior and stuck to the offensive side of the ball, running all over opposing teams. Because of that he couldn’t show his skills on the defensive side of the ball which he’ll do this year at Blair Academy as a post grad.

Dillon Romain is a 6-foot, 210-pound athlete from New Jersey that produced against some of the best programs in the country as a senior, but for some reason did not end up with FBS offers. This season he will be at Blair Academy where he will play running back, safety and some special teams.

Romain recently participated in the New Jersey vs. Northeast game where he posted better 40-yard dash numbers than smaller running backs committed to Rutgers and Pittsburgh and could stay at that position in college, play safety or bulk up and block at fullback and be a single back ball carrier.

Missouri State recently offered Romain, essentially letting him know that he may be the starter as a true freshman for them and he is being bombarded now by a number of I-AA schools to enroll immediately. That is an option, but he certainly has the talent to play at the I-A level and schools like Akron, Pittsburgh and Rutgers have shown interest.

Romain was named the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of New Jersey as a senior at Don Bosco Prep and finished the season with 1435 yards and 25 touchdowns on 206 carries. He also returned a fumble for a touchdown when he was playing safety early in the season.
