Blaine Clausell names favorites
"I have received offers from Troy, Louisiana-Lafayette, Mississippi State and Southern Miss," said Blaine Clausell. "I have been receiving interest from Louisville, Alabama, Georgia Tech, Louisiana Tech and Marshall." "Georgia Tech has talked to me about offering. I haven't talked to them since school got out though. LSU came to watch me practice in the spring. I have been up to Alabama a few times. They are very interested in me." The 6-foot-6, 285-pound prospect has attended camps at Mississippi State, Southern Miss and UAB. He lists favorites in order as Southern Miss, Mississippi State, Alabama, LSU and Georgia Tech. Southern Miss: "It's real close to home. They have a nice atmosphere and a good football program. I feel more comfortable with them at this time." Mississippi State: "They have a nice atmosphere, and it's close to home. I think I could get a good degree. They have a really nice football program." Alabama: "Every native from Alabama wants to play for Alabama. It's close to home, and I am comfortable with them. I would love to play for Nick Saban. It would be a nice degree with good connections." LSU: "I haven't really been down there much. They have an excellent football program and coaching staff. I could also get a good degree and good connections." Georgia Tech: "Their graduation rate is real high. They have a good number of football players in the NFL. The campus is really nice. It's not a very big campus. You can have good relationships with the teachers." Clausell talked about his strengths and the area most important for improvement. "I would say my footwork is my biggest strength," Clausell said. "I am really quick and have good strength. I love to compete. I would like to get more aggressive on the field."
