Stanford Lands Texas Kicker

Kicker Jordan Williamson of Westwood HS in Austin, TX committed to Stanford. Become a premium member to read what he had to say about his commitment.

"I liked the campus and loved the weather," said Jordan Williamson on why he committed to Stanford. "And my mom wanted to go there when she was in high school. She got in but, couldn't go due to finances. So I heard a bunch of great things about them a long time ago. It also provides me with great academic opportunities. I want to go pro in football but, if I don't, I want to have something to fall back on academically. Stanford is great for that."

Williamson was recently on campus (Stanford) where he hit the crossbar kicking off of the ground from 65 yards out. On his kickoffs, he averages 68 to 70 yards with a 3.8 to 4.0 second hang time. And as a junior, he went 10 of 14 with a long of 47 yards on his field goals. Renowned kicking coach Chris Sailor said that Williamson is one of the top Division 1 kicking prospects in the country.
