Collins Back From Duke
Jeremy Collins profile "It was great," said Collins of his summer camping experience at Duke. "It was a really good experience. The atmosphere is good there. Being out there is a lot different. The coaches were all were in to it. I spent a lot of time with Coach Cutcliffe and Coach Rowe." The coaches were able to offer some positive feedback to Jeremy as well as some things he needs to work on. "They said they liked my quickness in my drops and my ball placement," said Jeremy. "They had us in the classroom a lot and they were showing us how to break down defenses. It helped me a lot. They worked with me on dropping back in a straight line and keeping my shoulders square." One of the main reasons Jeremy is out and about on the summer camp circuit is to boost his stock in the eyes of college recruiters. He believes his showing this past week has him on the Blue Devils' radar. "Coach Cutcliffe told me he was going to keep in touch with me," said Collins. "I think he's a good coach, all of the coaches are good. I believe Duke is a team on the rise if they all listen to the coaches." Jeremy will continue his summer odyssey next month with a pair of home state excursions. "I am going to Mississippi State on July 24th for their Under the Lights Camp and I will go to Ole Miss the next day for their camp," said Collins. The final trips during the Dog days of summer should conclude Collins' travels. His focus will then turn to his final high school campaign. "I am working hard and getting ready for the season," said Jeremy. "I am working with Cleo Lemon. He's talking to me about my timing and getting my full steps on my drops and getting my foot in the ground. I am learning a lot from him and the college players from around here."
