Florida DB lands first offer
Lavaughn Wigham wanted to make a splash on the recruiting front this summer. So he decided to camp with the Florida Gators a few weeks ago. "I went to Florida's camp," Wigham said. "It was alright. I was out there ballin. They told me to keep in touch and they want me to come back for Friday Night Lights so I plan on being there for that." Wigham, 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, said he might also take in a day at Georgia later this summer. "They're my childhood favorite so I wanna get up there and check them out," he said. Wigham, who finished his junior season with 69 tackles, talked about the latest on the recruiting front. "I have one offer from Central Michigan right now," he said. "A lot of schools came by and were talking to me in the spring -- Florida, Ole Miss, UM, Ohio State, schools like that. I'll be looking at academics first and then what the school has to offer as far as playing time and things like that." Inside the classroom, Wigham claims a 2.5 GPA and hasn't reported a test score yet.
