Where’s Oswaldo?

Answer: The Sunshine State. Oswaldo took a trip to Florida for vacation and while he was there he decided to check out a school he has always admired, Florida State University. FSU is not currently a player in the market for Velasquez, but he says he would certainly welcome any inquiry from coaches on the recruiting trail.
“In high school,” says Oswaldo, “between Florida and Texas, you’re talking about the best football in the entire country. College is pretty much the same way. I have always followed
Florida State
just because they are always a team to look out for, capable of beating anyone in the country on a given Saturday. I like all the Florida schools, the Gators, The U, and FSU. I like Florida because the state is all about football, and that is what I’m all about.”
Oswaldo says that the Noles are not showing any interest in recruiting him as of today, but would absolutely welcome interest from the school. While on vacation Oswaldo was also celebrating being recently named to the
Maryland
Crab Bowl Super Sixty along with only about ten other offensive linemen. FSU might welcome the idea of taking a look at a kid who is thought of as a top-ten lineman in a football state like Maryland.
The entire trip to campus went well for Oswaldo and he had nothing but good things to say about the school.
“The whole experience was great. I got to see a top notch school and loved it. The campus was huge and beautiful. I loved the weather, it was amazing. I just felt a good vibe throughout the whole campus. Where my family and I stayed on vacation was so close to the school, I decided why not go take a look. I did not get to speak to any coaches or see anything like the locker room and all that, but I sure would like to. I think I am just going to mail my tape to the recruiting coach and maybe write a little note and if anything comes from that it would be great.”
Oswaldo reports receiving the most recruiting interest from Deleware, Maryland,
Virginia
, Towson, and
Virginia Tech
.
He sure would like to add Florida State to that list.
