Terps Offer Felder
Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway three-star wide receiver Brendon Felder has learned this summer that if he performs in front of a coaching staff he will usually walk away with an offer. Gateway finished up their 7v7 tour recently and Felder showed the Maryland staff how good he is and of course, he came away with another offer. "We went down to the Maryland 7v7 and they offered me afterwards," Felder said. "They didn't really know I could play like that from my film, but they liked what they saw an offered. They just wanted to see me in person." Felder and his Gateway teammates also participated in a 7v7 at Michigan and although the Wolverines did not offer right away, Felder is holding out hope that they will. "I toured around and saw all the facilities and met some of the players," Felder stated. "They said they really liked me and I'd be hearing something from them in the next couple of weeks." Felder said his team is taking a couple weeks off and he will use that time to work on recruiting. "We have two weeks off until we get back after it," Felder explained. "I want to use the time to think about the recruiting process. I want to think about each school on an individual basis. I want to look at the pluses and minuses about each school like who do they graduate and what are the depth charts looking like. Where do I think I can play the fastest? What coaches can take my game to the next level?" Felder is hopeful that he may visit some friends and family in Massachusetts over his two-week break, but it will also be a recruiting trip. "If we can swing it, I'd like to take a trip to Boston College and Connecticut while I'm off," Felder said. "I want to go see some of my friends and I'd check out those two schools while I was there."
