Terry Making the Rounds
Brandon Terry profile In addition to investigating his college suitors, Terry has spent a lot of time getting ready for his senior season. "I am working hard to get ready. I have been going to workouts five days a week," said Terry. "I went to Tennessee, Georgia, Florida and North Carolina for their camps. North Carolina is talking about offering. One of their coaches called me and told me they were really interested." With over a dozen options to consider, Brandon is not ready to name a list of favorites. One school in the northeast appears to be making Brandon a priority, but he admits distance may be a tough factor to overcome. "None of them really stand out, I just want to keep my otions open," said Brandon. "UCONN e-mails me or mails me everyday. It's a good program, but it's far from home. My mom and I talked about it because of the distance. It would be hard for me to come home." While the decision will ultimately be Terry's to make, he reports his family has a strong desire for him to play close enough to home that they would be able to attend games and be part of the experience. "It doesn't really matter to me, but my family would like me to stay closer to home," said Brandon. Geography is just one of many factors to be considered. "Academics will be number one and I want to be somewhere I can excel," said Terry "The number two thing is I want to go somewhere I can fit in. I want to see how the coaches welcome me and how I interact with the other players." Terry has no firm time frame for a decision. He has tentative plans to camp at Vanderbilt and Wake Forest before the summer is over. While visiting family, Brandon will be visiting Eastern Michigan this week.
