Looking for a quarterback the University of Cincinnati didn't have to go far in their newest pledge.

Despite missing games from injury the past two seasons quarterback Luke Massa showed enough on film to be offered by Wisconsin and hometown team Cincinnati.

On Thursday, the Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier quarterback issued his verbal pledge according to his high school coach Steve Specht to the University of Cincinnati.

Massa, who stands 6-foot-5, 200-pounds missed games to start the season but fought back to pass for over 700 yards before suffering a broken collarbone ending his season.

Massa earned his offer from the Bearcats after picking one up from Wisconsin and was hearing from several other schools before making his college choice.

With Luke Massa on board the Bearcats look to remain in the running for St. Xavier offensive lineman Matt James as well.
